Booked the Port Jefferson Ferry Boat to cross the Long Island Sound to Connecticut with the love of my life for the Valentines Day weekend. I insured the trip benefited both of us. The boat docks in Bridgeport Ct. A quick trip to the Bass Pro Shop for me, which is visible from the terminal. We stayed at a quaint B&B, caught a way off Broadway show, and then back home. An enjoyable weekend for all.
Since Valentines Day fell mid week I planned a nice Weekend trip to Connecticut. Took the Ferry out of Port Jefferson NY to Bridgeport CT. Made a beeline to Bass Pro Shop in Bridgeport, which is within sight of the ferry terminal 5 min away. Picked up some gear (for me) as I am in prep mode for the upcoming boating and fishing season. BPS offered great deals on boating gear and also picked up some lures.
Headed to Ridgefield CT. where we stayed at a B&B (The West Lane Inn). We had tickets for opening night at the ACT playhouse in Ridgefield for the play “Working”, written by Stephan Schwartz, who wrote the musicals (Godspell, Pippin, Wicked). Several of the songs were composed by Lin Manuel Miranda famous for (Hamilton, and In The Heights.) The cast and crew put together an amazing show. I recommend making the trip and catching the show.
We joined the cast and crew for an after show party at a local restaurant, where we met the cast, and had our Playbills signed.
We headed back to the B&B and to our room, for an enjoyable evening, outside it was 14 degrees but inside the rooms were warm, and comfortable. The King size bed provided a great night sleep, the onsuite was clean, warm, and the shower and water pressure were great (details are so important). Continental breakfast was included, but we had a hearty breakfast they offer. We headed back home picked up the ferry in Bridgeport and we were back at the Port Jefferson NY ferry terminal by 2PM.

A great weekend for both me and my significant other.
